2days ago Mommy noted Baby playing with gumball machine toy, with a very intentional sequence of pulling the lever, leaning the toy back in order to watch the ball twirl down, putting the toy straight, examining the ball closely, then pulling the lever again for the next ball. smart baby!
started army crawling (vs previous 'vacuum crawl' when she powered herself with her feet, butt up, face down!). much more purposeful movement!

I have been starting Evangelina on potty training since yesterday.
I've noticed that Evangelina grunts when she is about to go potty
which makes it easy to potty train her.  She'd done this ever since
she was about 2 months old (beginning of 2 months).  I've wanted to
potty train her for a while so it seemed like a good time since she
can sit on her own now and her bottom is big enough that she won't
fall through the toilet seat.

I put Evangelina on Jadon's old potty seat Saturday morning right when
she woke up and she immediately peed and went poo poo.  She did really
well!  We even took pictures of her sitting on her own holding onto
the handle of the potty seat.  However, I missed putting her on the
potty twice so she pooped in her diaper twice.  But she did poop in
the toilet twice on Saturday.  Today, Evangelina did really, really
well.  She pooped in the toilet and did not poop in her diaper at all!
:)  She pooped once when she first woke up, once before she went down
for a nap in the afternoon, once around 6:30pm (before we left for
shaved ice in Temple City), and once around 10:30pm (after we got home
from Temple City).  She grunted once while we were at the Shau Mai
restaurant but did not poop.  I don't know if she was grunting to let
us know that she needed to poop but did not poop because we didn't put
her on the toilet...Or maybe she just grunted but not ready to poop.
Each time she sat on the little toilet seat to poop today, she
immediately pooped & peed.  It was great!  And Jadon kept her company
by being her pooping buddy.  We're so proud of Evangelina.

Other Milestones:

Within beginning of 1st month:
-  life her head/ hold her own head up

At 2nd month:
-  Sleeping on her front (sleeping better!)
-  Focus her eyes on objects
- Visually follow object and turn her head to follow movement, people,
and sounds
-  Grip my finger when I stroke her palm
-  making lots of babbling/talking sounds
-  Raise her head and chest using her arms for support while lying on her tummy
- Consciously unfold her tight firsts
-  Suck on her fingers to comfort herself
-  Start to bring hands together to reach for objects in front of her
-  crawl with her feet in walking motion and her head against ground (or bed)
- roll over from front to back
-  laugh out loud (when Jadon is trying to make her laugh) and laugh
out loud in delight (when I let her ride on my stomach)
-  complains when she has poopy diaper
-  Showed her how to grab her feed and hold them as she's sitting in
her bumbo or lying on her back on the bed (showed her 1-2 times) and
she immediately picked it up and started doing them on her own.

At 3rd month:
-  Definitely can follow people's movements and sounds... Looks for
mommy, daddy, and Jadon
-  Raise her head and chest high off using her arms for support while
lying on her tummy (do very well)
-  Consciously unfold her tight fists for me
-  Starting to relax and enjoy bath
-  Loves sucking her fingers and drooling a lot!
-  crawling around really fast
-  roll not only from front to back but back to front very easily
-  great audience for Jadon (laughs out loud at his antics that he
does for her sake)
-  Responds to me
-  Grasp objects in front of her really well
-  Expresses unhappiness when a toy or object is taken away or fallen
off from her.  Example:  Likes trying and playing with pacifer.  Cries
for me to pick up pacifer for her when it falls to the floor and she
can't get it.
-  Sleeping on her front and back.  Sleeping through night and only
waking up every 3 -4 hours to feed
-  Distracted by Jadon... Stops eating to watch him when she hears him around

At 4 months:
-  Copies me...Examples:  copied me wrinkling & sniffing with my nose;
copied me smacking my lips together; copied Jadon pursing her lips
together; copied Jadon in making certain sounds
-  Looks for Jadon... Smiles when she sees mommy, daddy, & Jadon.
-  Has separation anxiety...Recognizes family... cries when strangers
try to play with her.  Gets anxious when she doesn't see me and starts
crying.  Stops when I show her I am still there.
-  Plays with Jadon!  She laughs and moves her legs & arms to in
excitment when Jadon's playing with her.  Definitel squeals and laughs
with delight!
-  Grabbing things very accurate and well now... tries to grab mommy's
food when she's sitting at the table
-   Potty training...doing well!  Poops & pees in toilet with no
problem and not much prompting.  Does it all on her own
-   Experimenting with her lips making sounds.  Starting to make deep
gruntle noises for fun
-   Likes coping things around her.  Example:  whenever Jadon's
playing piano and singing, Evangelina sits on the bumbo and starts
loudly babbling and making noises.  When Jadon stops, she stops.  When
Jadon sings, she starts babbling.  Mimic sounds & gestures
-  Sleeping through most of the night.  Only waking ever 4-5 hours to feed
-  Very curious...likes to see what people are doing.  Constantly
watching what I'm doing or what Jadon or daddy's doing.
-  Can sit unsupported by herself
-  Babbles to get attention.  Shows her discomfort, her upset, or her
complaints.
-  Can distinguish between different expressions & sounds.  React to
them.  Example:  when Jadon is playing well with her and trying to
make her laugh, she squeals in delight and laughs.  When Jadon is
being mean and grunts at her with a mean face or boos her to scare
her, she cries and hides her face or turn her face away from him as
she's crying
-  Knows how to please people...  For example:  Jadon was making her
laugh and so she watched him and laughed as he did funny things.  Then
she saw Jadon's toys and became interested in them and started playing
with them.  Even though she is playing with Jadon's toys and no longer
looking at Jadon, whenever she hears Jadon making the funny noise to
which she is supposed to laugh, she laughs for his sake as she
continues focusing on other things.
-  Examines different objects in her hand very intently.  Turns
objects around in her hand as she examines them.
-  Exploring her surroundings by putting everything in her mouth
-  Gets upset if something is taken away from her.  Also, tries to
push herself off the carseat when she doesn't want to sit in it any
longer.  Literally almost ejected her body from the carseat several
times.
